DUNMORE — Borough police are investigating the theft of an auto part cut from a parked vehicle at Marywood University.
On Monday, a student at the university reported that she got a ride home to New York for the weekend and left her Honda CR-V behind. She got in the vehicle and started it Monday afternoon when she noticed the smell of gas and loud noises coming from the vehicle and “stuff hanging underneath,” according to a police report.
Officers determined someone had stolen the catalytic converter, an emissions control device and part of a vehicle’s exhaust system.
Anyone with information is asked to call Dunmore borough police, 570-348-1721.
