Harvest Buffet plans opening
A new buffet restaurant has replaced the Old Country Buffet that closed last year in the East End Centre.
The Harvest Buffet, which will feature Chinese, Japanese and American food, will hold a soft opening Thursday at 11 a.m.
Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber members attended another soft opening event Monday at the restaurant and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Monday, Feb. 13, at noon.
Joe Guo, who is leasing the site, owns 12 other restaurants in Pennsylvania, including Gourmet Buffet in Bloomsburg, as well as Sakura Buffet in New York.
