Lakeland locked down after threat
SCOTT TWP. - Lakeland High School was in lockdown for about two hours Thursday morning after a student reported a threat written on a stall in a girls' bathroom.
Scott Twp. police and school resource officers investigated and found there was no danger, said police Chief James Romano.
While police investigated, students were ordered to remain in their classrooms to minimize movement within the building, said Lakeland Superintendent Margaret Billings-Jones, Ed.D. Although they declined to specify what the threat said, Chief Romano and Dr. Billings-Jones said the correct procedures were followed for such a situation.
