SCRANTON - A city boy was taken to the hospital with a moderate leg injury Monday night after he was struck by a vehicle on 2000 block of Jackson Street.
Acting Capt. Glen Thomas said the 11-year-old boy ran out into the street from behind a parked car just after 7 p.m. and was struck by a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle will not be charged, Capt. Thomas said.
The boy was transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center with moderate injuries but is expected to be OK, Capt. Thomas said.
