Sunday night’s scattered snow showers should be tapering off to flurries, but keep an eye out for slick spots during your morning commute. Then get ready for a sunny, seasonably cold day and night. The National Weather Service is forecasting a high for today near 39, and a low tonight around 23.
NWS does have an advisory out for Tuesday night, when “a mix of wintry precipitation is likely" ... as low pressure moves towards the region from the Ohio Valley. The advisory, issued Sunday night, says the system “may include accumulating snow and freezing rain Tuesday night...as well as gusty winds...especially at higher elevations,” but added that “there is still plenty of uncertainty on the details of this system.”
Meanwhile, the sun will come out today -- at 6:43 a.m. and it will set at 5:49 p.m. That’s more than a half hour more sunlight than NEPA saw on Feb. 1, and 19 minutes more than last Monday.
