REGIONAL BRIEF
Official: Lockdown continues at prison
JACKSON TWP. - An inmate lockdown at State Correctional Institution at Dallas continued for a second day Friday as investigators conducted searches of the facility, prison officials said.
Prison officials refused to disclose the reason for the lockdown, though prison union officials said the facility was investigating allegations of contraband being brought into the Jackson Twp. complex.
Inmates have remained in their cells since the lockdown began, and meals were delivered to them, prison spokeswoman Robin Lucas said.
Ms. Lucas declined to say if any employees had been disciplined, claiming it was a personnel matter.
State police at Wyoming on Friday said the investigation is ongoing.
