Man sentenced for stabbing dog
MILFORD - A Pike County man will serve one to 12 months behind bars for stabbing his dog with a butcher knife in September.
Edward Deblock, 47, of Dingmans Ferry, was sentenced Thursday on charges of cruelty to animals and resisting arrest, according to the Pike County district attorney's office.
He was arrested on Sept. 6 after he stabbed his pit bull in the leg with a butcher knife because he had gotten angry over the football game he was watching, police said.
In addition to his term in the Pike County Correctional Facility, Mr. Deblock was ordered to pay $500 in fines.
