For the second time in just over two months, a Scranton man was arrested and charged with pretending to be a police officer after he told two people there was a man with a gun on the loose in the city on Monday morning.

Thomas Sedorovitz, 20, 311 16th Ave., went into Domino's at 1316 N. Main Ave. and then Fratelli's Pizza and Pasta House at 1249 Providence Road, telling people at each establishment he was a Scranton police officer and there was a man in the area with a gun and to lock the doors, city police said.

At Domino's, Mr. Sedorovitz told the clerk not to take any more orders and lock the door, then left a note with a fake badge number, false name and phone number with the clerk, police said.

Mr. Sedorovitz, who said he admires city police, was taken to the Scranton Counseling Center for a mental health evaluation, police said.

He was charged with impersonating a public servant.

Mr. Sedorovitz was arrested Dec. 30 for a similar incident in which he posed as a city detective and radioed in fake reports.
