Man allegedly broke door down
SCRANTON - A city man faces charges after he broke his next-door neighbor's door off the frame trying to enter her apartment looking for someone, police said.
Miranda Richard told police that at about 9:20 p.m. Sunday a woman knocked on her door and asked if she could stay in her room. Shortly after, Christopher Grant, 33, 1201 Capouse Ave., Apt. 20, banged on the door, looking for the other woman, but Ms. Richard refused to let him in. He pushed through the locked door, breaking the frame, police said.
Mr. Grant was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and harassment. He was arraigned Monday and was in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Monday.
