CARBONDALE - A homeless man already jailed on charges he broke into dozens of unlocked cars in late December was charged Thursday with 15 more car break-ins on Christmas Day.
City police arrested Thomas Everett Jr., 23, on Dec. 26 after a trail of footprints led them from a burglarized car to the Copeland Avenue home where he was staying.
On Thursday, Mr. Everett - who had been held in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail - was arraigned on 15 counts each of theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.
He was returned to prison with an extra $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.
