SCRANTON - A city man pleaded guilty Thursday to attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual acts and is facing between 66 and 78 months in prison.

Lewis John Davies, 46, no street address available, admitted in front of Senior U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo that he used a computer to try to persuade a minor to engage in sex acts with him in 2008, according to the U.S. attorney's office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

After an investigation by the FBI and Scranton police, Mr. Davies was indicted by a federal grand jury in June 2008. His sentencing date has not been set. There was no information available Thursday about whether he was free on bail while awaiting sentencing.
