A media company executive will serve as toastmaster for the 108th annual dinner of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Lackawanna County.
Geoffrey MacGregor, manager of real estate for Lamar Advertising Co., will deliver remarks and manage the program during the organization's gathering Saturday, March 16, at Genetti Manor in Dickson City, said John L. Walker, president of the Friendly Sons.
Mr. MacGregor has held positions in the outdoor advertising field for 25 years. He manages and oversees about 1,000 locations in Pennsylvania and New York state for Lamar, which is based in Baton Rouge, La., and is among the nation's largest out-of-home media companies. Lamar specializes in billboard and transit advertising and highway signs and has about 15,000 ad locations in the United States.
A graduate of King's College, Wilkes-Barre, Mr. MacGregor is treasurer of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Pennsylvania and a director of the trade group. He also is active in many community organizations and Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.
Mr. MacGregor lives in Glenburn Twp. with his wife, the former Dorothy O'Donnell, and they are the parents of a son.
