SCRANTON - A New York man will face drug charges after he is released from Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton Police Sgt. Michael Perry said.
Joseph Vinanza, 58, 23 Briarwood Ave., Monroe, N.Y., was admitted to Moses Taylor early Saturday for reasons unknown to Sgt. Perry.
Police were called to the hospital around 2:30 a.m. after a nurse discovered two bags of a white powder while doing an inventory of Mr. Vinanza's possessions, Sgt. Perry said.
Police conducted a field test, discovering the substance was likely cocaine.
