Borton-Lawson

Two employees have joined the Wilkes-Barre office.

Thomas Holden Jr., EIT civil designer, joins the Energy Services group as a civil designer. Mr. Holden is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in civil engineering.

Seth Kunkel, mechanical intern, joins the Industrial Infrastructure team as a mechanical intern. Currently, Mr. Kunkel is a junior at Wilkes University, where he is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Commonwealth Health Regional Hospital of Scranton

A painting to honor cardiologist Gerald P. Tracy, M.D., FACC, FACP, who has been practicing at the hospital since 1976, was unveiled. Dr. Tracy, a physician and active member of the medical community, served as director of the hospital’s cardiovascular diseases from 1982 to 2004, and as president of the medical staff from 1991 to 1992. He is a founding member of the Medical Education Development Consortium, 2004 to 2007; and chairman of the accreditation committee. He was a corporate board member of Pennsylvania Blue Shield, 1992 to 2003; board of directors for the Scranton Temple Residency program, 1979 to 2009; and the Commonwealth Medical College clinical professor in the department of medicine and associate dean for regional campus development, Scranton. Additionally, he has written several publications, was awarded the Frank O’Hara Award for Distinguished Achievements in Medicine in 1983 by the University of Scranton; an honorary Doctor of Letters, University of Scranton, 1999; and the American Heart Association, Lackawanna County honoree, 2008.

Dime Bank

Ralph Scartelli, vice president, residential mortgage originator, and Mario Leombruni, residential mortgage originator, will serve lending needs of borrowers, real estate agents and builders in the Wayne, Pike and Lackawanna counties markets. Mr. Scartelli and Mr. Leombruni have been members of the Pike/Wayne Association of Realtors for more than five years.

Mr. Scartelli has devoted his career to mortgage lending. He holds a Bachelor of Science from East Stroudsburg University.

Mr. Leombruni has been a licensed mortgage originator for 18 years. He holds a business management degree from the University of Scranton.

Michael J. Foley has been selected by Best Lawyers in America for his practice in personal injury litigation for plaintiffs. This marks the sixth consecutive year he has been selected.

Medical Center

Portia C. Siwawa, M.D., joined as general surgeon and breast surgical oncologist. She will focus her practice on breast health and related women’s health issues. Dr. Siwawa received her medical degree in 2005 from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. Georges, Grenada, West Indies. She completed a five-year general surgery internship and residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York in 2011. Also, Dr. Siwawa completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2015. Dr. Siwawa is fluent in three languages, and has working knowledge of three others.

Lehigh Valley Physician Group

Robin Bohanan, CRNP, joined the Conyngham office. Ms. Bohanan has been a health care professional for more than 32 years, and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Chester University in 1984. From 1986-1989, she completed graduate studies in counseling, intercultural studies and theology. In 2009, Ms. Bohanan received her master’s degree in nursing from Millersville University.

Misericordia University

The dpartment of occupational therapy has named Kathleen Hughes-Butcher, M.S., O.T.R./L., an academic fieldwork coordinator for the five-year, entry-level Bachelor of Science and Master of Science programs in occupational therapy. Ms. Hughes-Butcher holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master of Science in occupational therapy from Misericordia University. During her 15-year clinical career, she has specialized in physical disabilities and geriatrics. Also, she has experience in skilled nursing facilities, in-patient and outpatient rehabilitation, home health care and acute care settings. Previously, she served as a program manager and staff occupational therapist for Genesis Health Care Corp. in the Wyoming Valley; Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre; United Health Care Hospitals, Binghamton, New Yoork; and Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center, Johnson City, New York.

NBT Bank

Branch Manager Marie Ceran, who manages the bank’s Mount Pocono and Bartonsville offices, has been promoted to assistant vice president. Ms. Ceran has 14 years of experience with the bank. She began her career in 2001 as a teller at the bank’s Mount Pocono office, and was promoted to manager of the office in 2003. She studied business management at Bronx Community College. Also, she completed business management and computer software training classes at the Chinatown School of Business, and is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Banking Association’s Advanced School of Banking.

Olsommer-Clarke Insurance Group

President Jeffrey H. Olsommer has been recognized by the preeminent national Society of Certified Insurance Counselors for his longstanding professional leadership and advanced knowledge. Following his 1990 graduation from East Stroudsburg University, he began his 25-year insurance career in what was then the Olsommer Barnes Insurance Associates Inc., where he played a role in making the agency one of Erie Insurance’s top commercial insurance producers. Then, in 2000, he was named president when the company became the Olsommer-Clarke Insurance Group, which was eventually expanded to include offices in Moscow, Hamlin and Honesdale. Mr. Olsommer serves as a director on the Western Wayne Education Foundation, is chairman of the Sterling United Methodist Church board of trustees and serves on the board of the Sterling Twp. supervisors.

Pennsylvania Wildlife Conservation Officer Rick Deiterich has been promoted to conservation administration supervisor. Officer Deiterich was a graduate of the 26th class of wildlife conservation officers from the Game Commission Ross Leffler School of Conservation in 2002. Upon graduation, Officer Deiterich was assigned to southern Lycoming County as a district wildlife conservation officer. He graduated from Williamsport Area Community College and Bloomsburg University, receiving a degree in accounting. Officer Deiterich is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officer’s Act 120 program, and served as a full-time police officer at Bloomsburg University and as a part-time police officer in Berwick.

Penns Woods Bancorp Inc.

Robert Edgerton Jr. has been appointed president at Luzerne Bank. Mr. Edgerton served as the senior commercial lender within the organization. Starting his career in 1975, he has experience in commercial lending and related business services. Mr. Edgerton is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Susquehanna University and a MBA in accounting from Wilkes University. Also, he serves as president of the Dallas Borough Council, vice chairman of the Pennsylvania Economy League and a member of the board of directors at Penn State University/Wilkes-Barre.

Scranton native Neil Regan joined as vice president, programming, for Travel Channel. In his new role, Mr. Regan will manage the development and production of series and specials for Travel Channel. His producing credits include ABC-TV’s “Wife Swap,” HGTV’s “Hawaii Life” and “Hidden Potential,” Food Network’s “The Next Food Network Star,” “Doorknock Dinners” and “Follow That Food,” and Discovery Channel’s “Punkin’ Chunkin’.”

Summit University

Lisa Konzelman has been appointed vice president of institutional advancement. Mrs. Konzelman, who has more than 20 years of fundraising, event planning and project management experience, previously served as the university’s executive director of institutional advancement and director of the annual fund and special events. An alumna of Summit University, Mrs. Konzelman completed the certified

fundraising executive program at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. A graduate of Leadership Lackawanna, she also volunteered as a group adviser and served on the nonprofit organization’s alumni committee.

TMG Health

Kathy Dufour has been appointed as vice president of application development and Valerie Cerra has been appointed to vice president of enterprise project office.

In her new role, Ms. Dufour is responsible for managing application development services of the company and providing strategic direction. She has experience in service delivery, systems integration, program management and systems development and maintenance.

Ms. Cerra will oversee the enterprise project management office and will support the company’s strategic plan and execution. In her new role, she will work with the company’s leadership in prioritizing and balancing projects across all departments in order to plan and manage enterprise resources and investments, and administer the enterprise project portfolio management system and process. She joined the company in 2007 as a program manager. Ms. Cerra holds an MBA from California State University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Scranton. She is a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute, a nonprofit professional membership association for the project, program and portfolio management profession.

Topp Business Solutions

Chris Falzett has been promoted to general manager. He is the grandson of the company’s founder, Angelo Falzett, and follows in the footsteps of his father, Paul, as he transitions into the third generation of leadership. Mr. Falzett began his career with the company as a salesman after graduating from the University of Scranton with a degree in communications and business. He has also served in many capacities in the company over the years, and has a broad-based knowledge of the company. Additionally, he is a partner in FMP Realty LLC.

Bill Truchan, a corporate executive, CPA and longtime national leader in the business solutions industry, joined the company as a management advisor during a time of growth and leadership transition from current President Paul Falzett to son, Christopher. Previously, Mr. Truchan worked with national companies such as IKON Office Solutions, and helped those businesses and brands grow both organically and by acquisitions. He has led more than 250 acquisitions in the business solutions industry.
