Two face charges after man beaten
CARBONDALE - Two people were arrested late Saturday after they robbed and beat a man they had lured to Carbondale, according to police.
Brylee Yamashita, 24, of Summit Garden Apartments, asked the victim, who was her acquaintance, to give her $400 for rent. The Jessup resident told her he could give her $150, and drove to Carbondale. When he arrived, she punched him and took his car keys out of his ignition, police said.
Three men who had been in Ms. Yamashita's apartment then beat the victim, whom police would not name. The men also robbed the victim, who suffered broken facial bones and a concussion.
Ms. Yamashita and her boyfriend, Steven Hunsinger, 19, 454 Madison Ave., Jermyn, face robbery, aggravated assault and conspiracy charges. Warrants for two other men are also expected to be obtained, Sgt. Brian Bognatz said.
Arraignment information was unavailable Sunday.
