SCRANTON - Penn State Extension and the University of Scranton will present a program for residents looking to increase bone density, strengthen their bones and increase muscle mass.
The Growing Stronger strength-training program introduces physical exercise and nutrition education classes twice a week for 12 weeks at a cost of $75.
Two classes are offered Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the West Side Senior Center, 1004 Jackson St. in the city, starting Feb. 11; and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Abington Senior Center, 1151 Winola Road in South Abington Twp., starting Feb. 12.
