Franklin Security Bank
Cheryl DeHaut, assistant vice president compliance officer, was awarded the certified regulatory compliance manager designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. Ms. DeHaut oversees all compliance functions at Franklin Security Bank, including serving as the coordinator of the compliance committee, development of compliance training and serving as the bank's BSA, CRA and OFAC officer.
Heinz Rehab
Kim Stokes, M.S., L.P.C., a licensed professional counselor in the psychology department of Heinz Rehab, had an article titled "Addiction & Coping with Medical Illness or Disability: It Can't Happen To Me" published in the premiere edition of a professional journal for human services professionals called Mind, Trauma, Addiction Counseling & Organizational Behavior Issues. Ms. Stokes lives in Luzerne County and has been a psychologist with Allied Services for more than 13 years.
James Mattucci, M.D., presented "The 10 Rules for Total Knee Rehabilitation" to the inpatient and outpatient therapy rehabilitation staff at a lunch and learn presentation at Heinz Rehab Hospital, a division of Allied Services Integrated Health System. Dr. Mattucci discussed therapy benefits following total knee replacement and educated on general guidelines for successful outcomes.
Highland Associates
John Durdan, a professional engineer, has been hired as a member of the mechanical engineering department. Mr. Durdan will design and manage projects for a variety of clients across several market segments. A graduate of the Penn State, Mr. Durdan holds a bachelor of architectural engineering emphasizing the built environment and building energy sciences. He lives in Clarks Summit with his wife, Jo Ann, a Realtor with Classic Properties, and their daughter, Elizabeth, a student at Abington Heights.
Holly Akers has been hired as a new business developer. Ms. Akers will seek new opportunities for the firm, assist in maintaining existing relationships with long-term clients and deliver proposals for prospective projects. A graduate of Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, N.J., she holds a Bachelor of Arts. She went on to receive her MBA from Centenary College, Hackettstown, N.J. Ms. Akers lives in Saylorsburg with her husband, Brian.
Highlights for Children
Glenn Boyd, a designer with the Digital Content Group, was recently honored for 20 years of service. He received the company's service award during Highlights' annual holiday luncheon at the Settlers Inn in Hawley. Mr. Boyd started his design work with Highlights in the graphics department and then the new products department before moving into online publishing for children. He earned an associate degree in visual communications in 1980 from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. The Pittston Twp. resident is a 1978 graduate of Scranton Central High School.
Pennsylvania Builders Association
Kevin Coutts of Paupack has been elected vice president of Pennsylvania Builders Association; Peter Gallagher of Tannersville has been elected secretary; and Joseph Harcum of Equinunk, treasurer.
Mr. Coutts, president of Forest Homes of Lake Wallenpaupack Inc., runs the business with his wife, Maria.
Mr. Gallagher, vice president, sales and operations of Liberty Homes Custom Builders, has worked 14 years in the home building industry.
Mr. Harcum is president of the Duck Harbor Co., Equinunk. In 2007, his company was named PBA's developer of the year. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned his degree in business administration.
Pocono Health System
Dr. William Cors, vice president and chief medical quality officer, has been selected to give a session on implementing clinical service lines in a community hospital at the Becker's Hospital Review, health care annual meeting in Chicago. Dr. Cors, M.D., M.M.M., F.A.C.P.E., received his Bachelor of Arts from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., and his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey: New Jersey Medical School in Newark, N.J. He also has a master's in medical management from Tulane University in New Orleans. He has also served as the vice president of medical affairs/chief medical officer at Bon Secours Health System in New York, Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey and at Pocono Medical Center in 1998 and 1999.

Nancy Jeffery O.T.R./L., occupational therapist, Melissa McLaughlin O.T.R./L., C.H.T., and Kim Carpenter, D.P.T., completed a continuing education course for nerve entrapments of the upper extremity.
University of Scranton
Gary R. Olsen has been named vice president for development and alumni relations effective Feb. 4. For the past 20 years, Mr. Olsen has served as associate vice president for alumni relations and executive director of the alumni association at Villanova University. Mr. Olsen earned a bachelor's and master's degree from Villanova University.
Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers
Psychiatrist Michael Campbell, M.D., has received his board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Campbell, behavioral health director for Wayne Memorial and a practitioner at the Behavioral Health Center, is now board certified in psychiatry and family medicine. Dr. Campbell has a special interest in adolescents, mood disorders and patients with substance abuse issues.
Three new board members of Wayne Memorial Hospital/Health System Board of Trustees include Francis J. Borelli, Susan Faye Mancuso and Joann Hudak, Ed.D.
Mr. Borelli, a retired businessman, lives in Pike County. He served as the chief financial officer and director of Marsh & McLennan from 1984 to 2001. Before that, he held senior management positions at Airco and the accounting firm Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, where he was a senior partner and employed for 24 years. Mr. Borelli is chairman of Lackawaxen Emergency Medical Services.
Dr. Hudak, assistant superintendent for the Wallenpaupack Area School District, lives in Wayne County. She began her career as a Spanish teacher at Pocono Mountain High School. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from East Stroudsburg University, as well as a master's in Spanish from Montclair State University and her doctorate in education from Widener University.
Ms. Mancuso, a Carbondale resident, is the first board member from Lackawanna County. She is a self-employed public accountant.
WVIA Public Media
Jeanne Shuman Genzlinger, Kristopher B. Jones and Jennifer D. Wilson have been elected to the board of WVIA Public Media.
For 30 years, Mrs. Shuman Genzlinger has been a partner and general manager of the Settlers Inn, a country inn and full-service restaurant in Hawley, and is also a partner in the Sayre Mansion in Bethlehem, where she serves as president of that corporation. Mrs. Shuman Genzlinger is also the managing partner of Ledges Hotel, a new boutique hotel in Hawley. She is a director of the Dime Bank in Honesdale and serves on the advisory board of the Hawley Silk Mill and Kiesendahl School at Lackawanna College. Mrs. Shuman Genzlinger is a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School and also attended the Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn.
Mr. Jones is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Penn State as well as a master's degree in experimental psychology from Villanova University and juris doctorate from Albany Law School. Mr. Jones formed ReferLocal.com, for which he serves as CEO. He is also the author of the best-selling book "Search-Engine Optimization: Your Visual Blueprint to Effective Internet Marketing."
Ms. Wilson is the president and CEO of the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania. A Williamsport native and graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, in her current role, Ms. Wilson provides leadership to staff and volunteers and is responsible for the management and operations of the foundation's endowment.
Zefran Dental Group
Dr. Kristin Erk Erbach has joined the Zefran Dental Group in Honesdale. Dr. Erk was formerly employed by Cherry Ridge Dental Center. Dr. Erk graduated at the top of her class from Honesdale High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Scranton in 2000, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. She completed her dental school education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2004.
