One dies in fire in Lehman Twp.
LEHMAN TWP. - One person is dead after a fire broke out at a Pike County apartment building Wednesday afternoon, state police at Blooming Grove said.
Police said the fire broke out around 12:30 p.m.. Flames were billowing out of a second story room, where the victim, whose identity was withheld pending notification of family, was found, police said.
Another building tenant was treated and released after being taken to the hospital, and a fireman was also treated for unspecified injuries, police said. At least 10 people were displaced by the blaze and are being assisted by the American Red Cross, police said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
