The second annual Snowflake Gala will be a winter wonderland.
Lisa Havran, the co-chairwoman of the Eynon-Archbald Lions Club event, explained that, fitting with this year's theme, there will be commemorative snowflake ornaments.
"It brings the local community together. It actually brings the awareness of what the Eynon-Archbald Lions Club is all about," she said of the gathering.
The event will be Jan. 12 at Fiorelli's Catering, beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $70 per person and include an open bar, cocktail hour, food stations and live entertainment. To purchase tickets, which must be ordered by Saturday, call 351-5649.
Proceeds will benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind, an organization that provides the visually impaired with guide dogs.
"It's a nice thing coming off the holidays to show the need of giving to others," she said, which fits with the Lions Club mission. "That's what we do. We give to others."
