Jessup police nab would-be burglar
JESSUP - A borough man was arrested after he tried to break into a pharmacy on Christmas afternoon, Jessup police said.
A witness called the Lackawanna County Emergency Communications Center and reported a man attempting to break into the Family Pharmacy of Jessup, 128 Constitution Ave.
A short time later, police picked up Arthur Horvath, 50, 125 Basalyga St., near the pharmacy with a pair of pliers in his pocket, police said.
Mr. Horvath was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and criminal attempt. He was arraigned Wednesday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Monday, according to court documents.
He is in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
