Refrigerator filled with meat reported stolen

OLYPHANT - The owner of a body shop told police that a refrigerator and freezer filled with frozen steaks, lobster, scallops, crab legs and other items has been stolen.

John R. Smith, the owner of Smith Body Shop, 945 Underwood Road, reported a burglary at the business, which had damaged the rear entrance door. The Frigidaire freezer and refrigerator and food taken were valued at $4,000. Keys for the appliances also were missing.

Two dogs at the property also were reported missing, but they were later found at the Griffin Pound Animal Shelter.
