Attack on man is linked to debt
SCRANTON - A homeless man told city police three men attacked him early Sunday in West Side over his debt with a mutual friend.
Acting police Capt. Glen Thomas said the 19-year-old man lost consciousness as three men punched and kicked him near Walgreens, 330 S. Main Ave., after accusing him of owing a female friend an unknown amount of money.
The man later called police from Walgreens and was taken to Moses Taylor Hospital. He did not suffer significant injuries, Capt. Thomas said.
