Blakely man dies in ATV accident
BLAKELY - A borough resident was killed this weekend when the all-terrain vehicle he was riding overturned and pinned him.
Lackawanna County Coroner Tim Rowland said Christopher Watkins, 39, was found by Blakely police officers between Fourth Street and St. Patrick's Cemetery. He said Mr. Watkins was riding alone and was not discovered until about 8 a.m. Saturday.
Blakely Community Ambulance used an ATV to reach Mr. Watkins, he said. An autopsy is scheduled for today, Mr. Rowland said.
Mr. Watkins was reported missing at 1:19 a.m. Friday, Blakely Patrolman Joe Laboranti said Saturday.
Blakely police are still investigating.
