Mark Baiada, founder and president, received the 2012 Home Care and Hospice Hall of Fame Award from the National Association for Home Care and Hospice. The award honors those who have dedicated their life to the care and service of others. In 1975, Mr. Baiada founded the company with the mission to help people have a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity.

Olapeju M. Simoyan, M.D., M.P.H., B.D.S., is the 2012 Herbert W. Nickens Faculty Fellowship recipient, which is awarded each year by the American Association of Medical Colleges to an outstanding junior faculty member who has demonstrated leadership in efforts to eliminate inequities in medical education and health care. Dr. Simoyan was recognized for her contributions to developing the college's collaborative public health program with East Stroudsburg University and for her work in developing curricula related to oral and mental health.

Ms. Cobb has been promoted to real estate lending support coordinator responsible for the coordination of commercial loan appraisals. She is a graduate St. Joseph's University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and earned her MBA with a concentration in accounting from the University of Scranton. She lives in Clifford Twp. with her husband, Matthew, and stepdaughter, Elizabeth.
Ms. Kelley has been promoted to accounting manager responsible for monitoring daily accounting operations and assisting the preparation of financial statements. She is a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Keystone College. She lives in Factoryville.
Mr. Francis has been promoted to loan administration clerk responsible for system input and review of new loan accounts, payment/advance processing and loan report review. He is a graduate of Riverside Junior-Senior High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Widener University. He lives in Taylor.

Tort Talk, the blog of attorney Daniel E. Cummins of Scranton, has been selected as one of the top 100 best blogs in the United States for a legal audience by the editors of the ABA Journal announced in their December edition. Mr. Cummins graduated cum laude from Villanova University and obtained his law degree from the Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle. He currently focuses his practice in motor vehicle accident and premises liability matters.

Brian Murray, M.D., recently joined Geisinger Community Medical Center as a gynecologist. He completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 2009 after completing medical school at the University of the Americas, Nevis West Indies, in 2005.

Ms. Hall Zielinski received her bachelor's degree from Keystone College and her master's degree from Duquesne University. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Scranton's Kania School of Management.

Additionally, Dr. Scarboro published an article titled "A Brief History of the Birth, Ironies and Future of Globalization," in "Contours of Globalization."

Mr. Danchak of Clarks Summit is the regional president of the Northeast Pennsylvania region of PNC Bank. This is his second year as co-chairman of CASUAL Day.
Dr. Dewar of Honesdale is a physician and vice president at Highland Physicians Ltd. He is also chief of staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Sewatsky of Pittston is the chief medical officer at Moses Taylor Hospital and an affiliate faculty member at the Commonwealth Medical College.
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau
Matthew Balliet, Luzerne County farmer, has been elected to the organization's state board of directors, representing farmers in Carbon, Columbia, Luzerne and Schuylkill counties. Mr. Balliet operates a grain and cattle operation and also runs a custom harvest business. Mr. Balliet has served as president of the Luzerne County Farm Bureau, chairman of state and national legislative committees, state Young Farmer and Rancher committee chairman and vice chairman of the American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmer and Rancher program.

Associate broker Nell Donnelly-O'Boyle has been named vice president of the Greater Scranton Board of Realtors board of directors. Ms. Donnelly-O'Boyle was licensed in 2000. She has served Realty Network Group as director of marketing. She earned her broker's license in 2010 and was elected to the Greater Scranton Board of Realtors board this year. Ms. Donnelly-O'Boyle lives in Scranton with her family.

Alyssa Procida has joined the company in Wilkes-Barre as an estimator on the equipment fulfillment team. As an estimator she is responsible for estimating and coordinating Trane's project bids. Ms. Procida is a 2006 graduate of the Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School.
