Philly man hit with drug charges
SCRANTON - A Philadelphia man found himself in custody on drug charges after police say they caught him selling heroin in a deal they set up.
Police said Anthony Miller, 30, sold the last of his product in a deal set up by Lackawanna County detectives in the parking lot of Giant on Nay Aug Avenue before city police stopped his vehicle minutes later on North Sumner Avenue.
Mr. Miller was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was remanded to the Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Thursday.
