Commonwealth Health moves into Waterfront Complex

Commonwealth moving offices

PLAINS TWP. - Commonwealth Health has begun moving into the Waterfront Complex on North River Street.

The regional health network will lease about 43,000 square feet for physician offices, outpatient services, business office space and administrative areas, said spokesman Jim McGuire.

Commonwealth Health includes eight hospitals - Wilkes-Barre General, First Hospital, Moses Taylor, Regional Hospital of Scranton, Mid-Valley Hospital, Berwick Hospital Center, Special Care Hospital and Tyler Memorial Hospital. The system includes 1,600 physicians, 6,500 employees and more than 1,300 beds.
