Police say man assaulted mom
TAYLOR - A Taylor man was charged with simple assault and harassment after he shoved his mother and put her in a chokehold when they argued about him not having a job, police said.
Borough police said Thomas Woody, 27, 23 Barbara Lane, went to his room after arguing with his mother Tuesday night about not having a job, then came back out cursing at her. He then shoved her to the floor a put her in a chokehold at least twice, police said.
Mr. Woody was arraigned Wednesday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.
