According to a released issued by PennDOT, The closure of I-476 northbound scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed.

Previous Report:
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission cautions motorists that the Northeastern Extension (I-476) will be closed northbound from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Dec. 2 between the Keyser Avenue (Exit #122) and Clarks Summit (Exit #131) interchanges. The closure will take place during paving operations on the bridge that crosses over Edella Road in South Abington Township, Lackawanna County.
The overhead structure is located south of the Clarks Summit toll plaza at milepost A130.3.
Detour:
Traveling northbound on I-476: Exit the Turnpike at Keyser Avenue (Exit #122). Turn left on Union Street, right on Keyser Avenue and proceed north for approximately 5 miles. Enter the North Scranton Expressway (Route 11) toward Interstate 81. Take Interstate 81 north and Exit 194 to access the Clarks Summit area.
Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the Keyser Avenue toll plaza to assist customers with directions. Motorists can tune to radio 1640 AM for detour information and traffic conditions or call the Turnpike Roadway Information line at 866.976.8747.
Changeable message signs will also provide updated information regarding closures and detours. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. For emergencies, dial *11 on your mobile phone.
In case of inclement weather, the closure will be rescheduled for Dec. 3 with times and detours still applicable.
