SCRANTON — Three Tobyhanna men accused of passing fake $100 bills at local casinos are facing federal charges.
A federal grand jury in Scranton indicted Michael Turner, 21, Andrew Turner, 27, and Jason Mitchell, 29, on counts of conspiracy and counterfeiting. The trio tried to pass about $8,700 in fake $100 bills in June at Mount Airy Casino Resort in Paradise Twp. and Mohegan Sun in Plains Twp., according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
If convicted, the men face up to 45 years in prison and $750,000 in fines.
