SCRANTON — One Verizon Wireless retailer is collecting goods for area food banks this holiday season.
Until Dec. 12, the Cellular Connection’s locations across the country, including one at 1141 Northern Blvd. in Clarks Summit and one at 1341 S. Main Ave. in Scranton, will accept canned goods and boxed food.
The food drive, titled Stop the Hunger, is part of TCC’s Culture of Good effort to help employees become more charitable in their communities.
In 2013, 17.5 million U.S. families at some point were uncertain about their next meal, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
