To honor the service of the late Pennsylvania State Trooper Cpl. Bryon Dickson II, his wife Tiffany and their sons, Bryon III and Adam, have been invited to pull the lever to light the Times Tower at the Christmas event today at 6 p.m.
“The tower lighting has become a community wide family celebration and the official kick-off to the holiday season. We are so excited to have Cpl. Bryon Dickson’s family with us this year,” said Matthew E. Haggerty, publisher of The Times-Tribune.
“We hope it gives Tiffany and her two sons some joy during this holiday season. We felt it was a special way that we could show that our entire community stands in support of the Dickson family this Thanksgiving and Christmas.”
The public is welcome to enjoy music and family fun at the free event, 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Penn Avenue and Spruce Street in Scranton.
