McCarthy Tire acquires N.Y. firm
WILKES-BARRE - McCarthy Tire Service Co., a fourth generation family-owned business headquartered in Wilkes-Barre, announced it has acquired Main Tire Exchange Inc. of New York. With the acquisition, McCarthy Tire now operates 43 service centers in seven states.
McCarthy Tire will take over operations in Main Tire Exchange Inc.'s three commercial tire locations in Buffalo, Dansville, N.Y., and Rochester, N.Y. The acquisition is the latest of McCarthy's Tire's rapid expansion throughout the East Coast.
